Never trust in head knowledge or your mind to try to understand the Mind of God. You end up having knowledge from the world in your heart when you do this, instead of having the Word of God in your heart —which gives access to the thoughts of God when you believe in His Word. Jesus is the Word of God and He stands at the door knocks… He stands at the door of your heart.
Response to: “But Jesus ate with sinners…”
Responding to a very common assumption that Jesus Christ ate with sinners, so therefore He was okay with the sin that people were doing…I also think this thinking comes from people who still hold onto sin and is why we are called to not even eat with anyone that claims to be a brother or sister in Christ, but they are still holding onto the world and not Christ because doing so teaches them that what they are doing and how they are living is right when that is not true.
